Accessibility

I know frames make the pages slightly smaller, and the programming slightly easier, but it makes NationStates barely usable on my PocketPC, and coompletly unusable on my Treo (My primary web device). How about a nice xhtml/css version for us mobile users. If NS were open-source, I'd do it myself and submit a patch. If it is, I haven't been able to find it.

I've actually looked into making this mobile accessible, but it really is more effort than I'm willing to put into it (with work and all). The real issue that I had was with the issues and their large blocks of text.

If you're really serious about doing it yourself, I'd recommend making up mock pages for every page in the game. I'll take a look at them, talk to [violet] and Max, see if I have the time (that's kind of important), and we might get this done. (By the way, if you think that a page will work (essentially) unmodified, you can just make note of the modifications).

I'm not promising anything, but I think that this is a neat idea.

I'll see about getting mock-ups together.

As for the issues being long, I'm talking more about a lean, mean, xhtml page - not a WAP site. I don't know about most mobile devices, but Pocket IE and the Treo 300/600 browser can handle 30-70k pages just fine (Not that I would plan on a mockup being nearly that large).

Then sketch it out. Feel free to use place holders for text, names, values, etc. After all, I'm going to, why should you have to type everything out?
