I can no longer into my nations. It is telling me either the password is incorrect or my browser is not accepting cookies. I changed nothing on my browsers or network settings. Also, my nations worked late last night.

I have no idea whats going on.

I've got the same problem with my nation "Cotland". It keeps appearing as the 0 of 0, and with this as location.

I can get on the forums using a direct link to them, but I can't log in! Please help!

Same here AA. Just before it happened I was looking at a nation and it lost all its settings, in place of location it showed a whole heap of code, name became "0 of 0" and last logged on something like 12031. Then I got dumped out after a couple more minutes.

I have the exact same problem with all of my nations. I also noticed that there were a few nations that became "the 0 of 0" and that the Pacific regions are all missing for some reason.

Yes I am having that issue as well. what troubles me is the incorrect password. Maybe thats just because of whats going on.

Yep, im getting told my password is incorrect (it isnt) and it wont let me in. Apparently somthings wrong with the accnt database.

I'm having he same problem with my nation/login as well.

Semeridon.

I can't log in and when i do it gets a big error about 0 of 0 and No name entered etc. Its strange, i changed nothing on my browser either and my UN registered nation, Victories, appears to be working, though my IP got blocked for 45 mins due to all the failed login attempts.

Any ideas as to whats wrong?

another thing.......my e-mail address has disappeared from my account. i think it loooks like the work of a hacker, myself. i can't get ointo my nation, and the region my nation was in has been deleted.

I'd say it applies to absolutely every nation, or will very quickly. Best we can do is let them fix it, hope it doesn't take to long and go and deal with our withdrawal symptoms in darkened rooms around the globe

Yes, looks like the nationstates server had an anurism. I also cannot log into my nation, The Democratic Republic of Speath. I guess all we can do is wait and see if it fixes itself tomorrow...

yea the same thing is happening to me too. My nations Crow left of a Murder and Silent Distortion won't let me log in and they have been all messed up just like all of yours.

Hi, i just want to mention, that mz nation the holy empire of DC plus plus was ereased with the same log in problems. (Hope its not because i didnt spend any money on defense)

This has happen to me as well.

It seems that it indeed happened to all.

Nobody panic. If needed they can roll the database back to the last update backup. No one will have lost any nations, endorsements etc from before that.

and regions have been turned into 0000000's as well, so i think it is a hacker with way too much time on his hands.

I was looking at telegrams and it all suddenly went away! I cant log into any of my nations, it says wrong password, and yet I can get into other regions by going in throught the world part of the menu, my region Free states of Gaia seems to have gone though...bugger...

If what you say is true about your email being deleted, I suggest making every email you get as skeptical for the next couple of weeks - we don't want to get viruses and stuff now don't we?

Yep same has happened to my mighty nation, I am now the wonderful 0 of 0 its probably a server error or something but I hope we all get our nations back!

It is NOT a hacker at all - this problem has happened before. The moderators will roll back the database and we'll just lose our recent changes (as in the last day), nothing more. I'm afraid, it's just a case of being patient.

My region still exists and the founder nation is ok for the time being, but my UN delegate nation (the one I'm posting under now) is showing blackened out and deleted. Hope all can be restored.

Take it back, the founder nation just disappeared as well.

I am having the same issues in my region with my nation. I noticed that it is just me and two other nations. And it happens that we are all fairly young nations just created in the past few months.

Firstly, you will just get a bunch of 0's instead of your actual nation, with a whole heap of crap at the bottom where your nation's description usually is. After a couple of minutes, the nationstates server kicks you out and you are no longer able to log in.

IT IS HIGHLY POSSIBLE THAT AS SOON AS YOU TRY TO LOG IN YOU DELETE YOUR ACCOUNT! If this is so, don't be one of the stupid ones like us, who have tried to get in.

Word of advice: Make sure all information that you have put on Nationstates (this includes email adress, etc.) is checked thoroughly over the next couple of weeks. IF THIS IS THE DOING OF A HACKER, HE COULD HAVE TAKEN OUR EMAILS TO SEND VIRUSES AND OTHER BINARY VERMIN TO US!!! Anything dubious should be deleted immediatly without hesitation. Windows XP is a load of spagetti code held together with sticky tape. Getting a virus is bad in case ppl havent figured that out yet ;)

Honestly, this is a problem with the server or the code. The screenshots that have been shown around show that there is an issue with reading the files.

While it is a good idea not to try and log in (the issue could have done damage, and your logging in is trying to write to a file that doesn't exist. I'm not sure how NS is set up but it could make a mess for Sal to clean up), YOU DO NOT HAVE TO PANIC ABOUT VIRUSES OR HACKERS.

Nothing can be done until a Game Admin gets online. Only they have access to the code, and only they have access to the server.

If it happened during this issue, you haven't been deleted.

Unless you got deleted for an actual rule infraction (you will have been warned by your friendly neighbourhood mod about this), chances are you'll be right as rain when Sal gets online and fixes the issue. Hopefully, all that will be lost is any changes made to your nation today.

Also.... noone's ever lost their nations. If they have to, they'll roll it back a day like before. So you *don't* have to keep listing all the nations you've "lost". They have them somewhere, even if it's yesterday's backup.

Responisble for starting one myself, though in my case, I reported directly into Moderation section (after lodging a "restore" request via "Getting Help"). Initially, I feared that my nations were getting DEAT'd for some reason, though now it is apparent that this is not the case.

This isn't a mass deletion, it's a small technical hitch.

if your nation is really deleted, and if it is still deleted after this issue got fixed, you always could request your nation by going to the FAQ page under technical but thats if your nation is still deleted after this issue is over and done with and everyone got their nation back.

But, since it is effecting all players it is pointless to say it is effecting me and here are my nations at this point. The mods will sort it out, and we shall be okay.

You can't do anything, it's broken, bust, kaput, damaged, no-good, messed-up and unusable.

Can I just suggest that the Mods create a sticky. They did this when we had major problems with the forums before. I know it's the least of their priorities, but it will prevent this forum becoming clogged (and GoalVa having an aneurysm).

I was about to ask how long does it take to get the server reset, then I realized that it would depend on what exactly had gone wrong. doy.

I am curious, though, why it happened to some of us, but not all. In my region, all three of my nations and one other were blitzed, but the others are fine. Is there more than one server storing the nations?

No idea how many servers are storing it. One idea is no one can log in due to the glitch, but on the other hand the glitch only effected some nations, therefore some nations can be viewed just not logged into. No idea really.
