Same issue twice/contradictory info

The same issue was given to me twice ("Should democracy be compulsory?") Thinking this was a random chance to change my original stance, I voted a different way than I had originally. Now my profile says "Voting is compulsory... and voting is voluntary." I guess it doesn't make much of a difference, but I'd prefer if my nation didn't have two different contradictory stances! Is there any way to fix this?

This is no problem. The last four issues that you have answered are visible in your 3rd paragraph in your nations description. Yea, its contradictory, but its a good way to remember the last 4 decisions you've made. Once you make new decisions on issues, they'll be replaced.

I had "Elections have been outlawed and voting is compulsory." Then I got an issue about the death penalty, and it became "Elections have been outlawed, voting is compulsory, and the death penalty is administered for every single crime." I really tortured my citizens with that nation. ;)
