Suggestion: Increase the maximum character count for UN resolutions

By about 1000 characters. Obviously we don't want to be voting on essays, but forcing nations to mutilate otherwise decent resolutions in the name of an arbitary limit seems unacceptable. I remember this was a problem with my last resolution, too. An actual UN resolution, with all the legalise and definitions involved, would never fit in the limits imposed by NS.

Let me know what you think.

I agree with you. When I was writing Civilian Rights Post War, I had to choose between closing loopholes and wasting characters, or getting all the rights I wanted into the resolution. Finally I made the choice that the rights were more important. Of course that caused a lot of flack when the resolution came up for vote. It currently has holes you could fly a jumbo jet through :).

I do think though that even if the character limit was increased, we would probably still find ourselves trying to fit more into our proposals than the limit will allow. We must also remember that the longer the proposal, the less likely that the majority of people would read it properly.
