Moving region without my say-so

I think my account may have been hacked. First thing this morning everything was normal, and then half an hour ago I logged back in to find that my nation had been switched to another region (this happened around 10:30am UK time).

I've switched my nation back to its original location and changed the account password, but would it be possible for the game moderators to check the IP addresses used to log into my account? I only ever use two computers to access NS so any discrepancies should be obvious.

What region did you find yourself moved to? Because if it was the Rejected Realms then you weren't hacked, you were booted.

Well if he was able to move back then he wasnt booted. Also he would have gotten a telegram saying he'd been booted

I was moved to Wysteria from Atlantian Oceania (where I am the UN Delegate, as you can tell from my sig) - I definately wasn't booted.

Moderation is the proper place for a thread of this sort. Better yet, report it through the getting help page. Also, I suggest changing your password so that the person who hacked it wont be able to do so again.

Whatever it was, it wasn't a hack. If somebody else moved your nation, they either knew your password or sat down at a computer where you had autologon turned on. As for the region move, I've never heard of it happening spontaneously. Sounds like human intervention to me.

I only ever access NS from two computers - home and office. I was at my office PC at the time, and my wife wasn't at home. Therefore, it was someone else who was lucky enough to guess my password. I changed my password immediately to a random jumble of characters so fingers-crossed this won't happen again.
