Economics Forum

Hello beloved Mods... [clap of thunder up above]

This might possibly belong better in Gameplay but i read the sticky, did the search and think that this idea is most appropriate for Technical. Not to mention you do make suggesting news ideas about the game sound so glamerous [second, closer clap of thunder up above], OK i'm getting to the point...

Why not open a storefront specific forum within the game site? This way a more dynamic and competative market within NS can be generated as players are free to browse and peruze through the wears of the economies of nationstations. Well it just seemed like a good idea at the time, not to mention it could allow for all the different economic associations to conglomerate into specific threads on the forum rather then choking up the Int. Incidents forum etc with "StoReFrontZZ 4 UZ!"

Please don't electricute me almighty Mods, i am but a mortal!

I think this was suggested before, but was shot down. However, I am not a mod, so you'll have to wait for an official answer.

Even if this was instituted, I don't think people will post their storefronts in that forum. Storefronts are posted in the II and NS forums because they are more visible there, visibility is key to advertising. Plus many storefronts, at least those that are large, are already firmly established in the II and NS forums.

Not to mention the fact that as this would require an alteration of the forums, the Jolt people would have to do it.

You assume there's something wrong with storefronts. Wrong assumption.

I did no such thing.

An Economics forum would also allow for more accrate and constantly adjusted exchange rates and help facilitate better off-site economic tools like the NS calaculator. Also storefronts constantly fall on and off the main pages of the other forums, here they would only be compeatig with other storefronts from prime real estate.

Try to read the stickies before posting, hence the sticky's name.

Ahh but i wasn't talking about 'just' a storefront forum but one to include details and inforamtion about production/consumption and a centralised location to compare trading blocs as well as international currency prices: however i'll accept the decision of the all-mighties.
