Argh, you have foiled my masterplan of having the entire first page of the Technical Forum be nothing but Sticky's!

Step 1.: Create lots of technical topics, and get them stickied.
Step 2.: ?!?
Step 3.: PROFIT !!

Hmmm.

Now what if I were to create my OWN list of non-stickied topics that are interesting enough to have sticky's? Would that get a sticky? Or would that eventually merit a stickied list of lists with topics that should be stickied if only we'd have first-page space for them? :D :D

I agree with Ballotonia, I think the images should go. If the mods will let you, you can recreate this hilarity in another thread, but the images should not be kept in a reference thread like this.

I have the answer!! Here's a copy of Scolo's first post:

::<Open Titan YutLink>::

YET MORE COLONISTS ON TITAN

The ever-more increasingly inaptly-named Triumvirate of Yut has accepted another new nations to the Titan colonies. After the acceptance of LaRhiannon to Titan, Scolopendran scientists discovered that the additional food resources expended by the additional population would deplete current stores within three decades. To prevent this, the Principality of Bezerker was allowed to leave its less-than advantageous location in the South Pacific for the equatorial regions of Titan. There, Bezerker's traditionally extreme amounts of food overproduction could be used to maintain Titan's expected population growth until our terraforming projects make topside agriculture more successful.

Supreme Emperor Kommetrez of the Federation of Scolopendra had this to say at a regularly announced press conference: "The Triumvirate of Yut will probably not be accepting any more requests for moving to Titan in the near future because of our miniature population explosion. Rest assured, however, that Titan is still open to tourism and once our resource production/consumption ratios level out we will once again be looking for brave, pioneering souls who want to be on the cutting edge of Saturnian system colonization."

It has been noted by Jaynez Defense Review that Titan is arguably now one of the best-defended locations in the entire solar system now that it has three major military powers co-protecting an area of little interest to anyone else.

SCOLOPENDRANS ANNOUNCE PROPULSION SUCCESS

Scolopendran scientists have declared their experiments in gravitic propulsion successful. Current reports estimate that their new civilian-consumption gravitic drives to be capable of up to 20 gravities of constant acceleration with no adverse effects to the cargo or crew of vessels.

Were important threads ever in danger of deletion? And if so, would putting them in a separate forum still hosted on NationStates.net protect them?

Some threads relate to Technical, some to roleplay (International Incidents), some to United Nations, et cetera. It makes sense to me to keep it like it is.

Premade "Make Me Founder" response:

The mods no longer accept requests to be made founder of a region on the basis that you have had plenty of time to ask since they first said they'd do this.

<except without the empty-region, refound text, since you probably can't convince that many nations to refound a region>

Your region should be fairly safe, though, since a region that big should have a well-endorsed delegate.

Edited by Scolo der Game Mod for Level 15 Civil Rights (Widely Abused, as evidenced by Freebodnik IV

I've looked through a number governments, mostly restricting myself to Anarchy types, and have not found anything higher then World Benchmark, Excessive, or Frightening (which I presume is the correct order) in Civil Rights. Of course, Civil Rights having just 14 categories seems a little off, so I will update if I am notified/find another missing link. On the flip side, there is also a possibility that I have made an error in the other two columns. :?

Well... Freebodnik IV is down to "Superb" now. And, to be perfectly honest, I've never seen "Widely Abused" for Civil Rights before. When we were beta-testing the Jolt site, we had free reign over our nations, because it didn't make much of a difference, so I played around with my stats in the Mod Centre, and I could never get my Civil Rights above Frightening.

Meh. I take Scolo's word for it, but I've never seen it, myself either.

There's no real order, but there is a cube of sorts that you can put them in - check out http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=274695

thirdgeek's NSEconomy (http://nseconomy.thirdgeek.com/nseconomy.php) is much better than the GDP calculator referenced at the top of this thread.
Perhaps it should be included.

Also, the NS Flag FAQ doesn't seem to exist.

OK heres my question:

Im going on vacation for three weeks and I've been off of Vacation Mode for approximately nine days. It said in FAQ that u get deleted if you're not logged in for 28 days. So if I'm logged in but don't do anything for 28 days or more I get to stay???

I belive your connection times out in 5 minutes or so... easiest is to just switch to vaction mode, and then you get 60 days instead of 28

Could anyone explain why I have been sent the same issue twice in 10 days, even though I made a decision the first time round?

Any help appreciated, thanks!

Hi there, I'm new around here. My first issue still has not been processed, and I've registered almost 3 days ago. I changed my settings for 2 issues per weekday and already did the region change, then returned to the on of my choice, but still nothing. Could I get some help?

When set for 2 per weekday, you will not receive any on the weekend.
