Why do i have this annoying [NS:] in front of my name?

A couple of days ago this annoying [NS:] popped up in front of my name, and my post counter was wound back to zero. perhaps someone can help me with this?
This sometimes happens when your name is (somehow) registered with Jolt before it is registered with NationStates - Jolt thinks that someone has independently come up with a nation of the same name, and creates another account. A mod/admin should be able to merge the accounts for you.

That's true, but as Poo-Hoo-Boo-Too said the [NS:] only appeared a few days ago, it's likely to be caused by Jolt/NS mismatch more than a previous registration.

Unless if someone makes a general Jolt account it will auto boot you... would seem rude, but I suppose possible. Though, it does actually make more sence in your case, just offering an alternate posability.

just to clear up a little bit of the confusion (yours, not mine) i could, and did, post as Poo-hoo-boo-too for quite a while before the [NS:] appeared

An Admin can merge the accounts. It'll take some time though, as ours are rather busy.
