Ok, I am having a lot of problems logging in to my Jolt account.

At first it logged me in as “The Czardaian envoy”. Fine. I can still post.
But then I tried to manually log in as Czardas, and it told me the account was still awaiting validation. Which is kind of silly, as I have been a member of this forum for 6 months without any problems. I then checked my email, and found that no validation email had been sent.

Surprised, I requested a new password. It never arrived, although the admins claimed it did. I came to the conclusion that someone must have hacked my account and changed the e-mail address. I want, therefore, to change my e-mail address back to the original. However, as I don’t know the password—due to the new password request, yeah I’m smart;)—I don’t know how to get in to change it.

Therefore, may I request

1) That a new password for my account Czardas on Jolt, not on NS be given, and telegrammed to me;
and
2) That the two accounts “Czardas” and “The Czardaian envoy” be merged.

I had a problem like this (you probably remember). Screw around with your cookies. It helped me...

so have you tried both the password you had before and the new one?

Make sure it's not a problem with your e-mail filter.It might be. But if so, why can't I log into Czardas? (I've been away on vacation for a while and haven't checked my TG inbox, so the new password may have arrived already. I'll try.)

No, I haven't received a TG either (to Czardas). I'll check TCE for telegrams, and I certainly didn't get the e-mail. I've added admin@nationstates.net to my address book, but still nothing.

They don't. I requested a new password for the second time, but got nothing for Czardas, only my other nations. And I don't have another e-mail address.

There's something funky about your forum validation that isn't in the mod playbook. I'll bring it to Admin's attention, though no promises on how long it will take to resolve.

OK, it says im logged in right. But then, when i go to post something...it says im not, so i log in again no problem right? wrong. it says theres no such thread... and everytime i click a link on NS i get this 'internet explorer script error' and its only on NS... Anyone know why?

That sounds like a problem with cookies. If nothing else, deleting all the nationstates cookies on your browser and starting again should work. I've had that problem on other forums where I've mistakenly refused cookies.

I have been informed that there are known issues with the relationship between NS logons and Jolt logons in a few cases. Since we only control one side of that equation, we are apparently not near a solution. While we'd very much like to resolve it, other issues currently have priority.

I'm afraid you're stuck with it for now. Sorry.

May also be a firewall problem... check your settings.

Tough break Czardas.

I always have an issue(LAst month) with logging on to NS and then if i go to the forums it logs me out of Jolt and i have to log in again?

I'm just going to gravedig to ask if anyone has come any closer to fixing this. Or will it only be after the profiles are fixed or something?

I didn't know the NS moderators couldn't control anything having to do with the Jolt forums. :confused:

Yay, my account is restored! But I want to change the e-mail address and password back to my own, and I'm not sure how to do that. (I also wouldn't mind a merge.)
