Why is the Avatar locked/not available on NS?
I've been to other forums such as the Librarium Online and several star wars forums and NS related forums where the Avatar is available. Personally, I think that we should include the Avatar on NS because pics are a cool thing to have on a forum.
Is there a reason why we can't select the Avatar?

I guess. I do believe if you had more than 10000 posts, you could get an avatar, too, but then they changed that as well.

Avatars are hosted locally and added to every post you make. Therefore, they use up bandwidth. Multiplied across 701,014 accounts, it quickly grows prohibitively expensive.

And I dont suppose they will start to allow remotely hosted avataurs... prolly due to the fact it is hard to control content.
