One of the aspects of NationStates that I find absolutely overwhelming is the huge number of regions out there. It's especially disconcerting that I feel no geographic relationship between any two regions.
Now before you start in on me about how the regions are virtual, I already know that. However, any yahoo can start a new region. Technically speaking, every nation can be in its own region - and what's the point of that?
It seems to me that a lot of regions are actually alliances or confederations - nations bound together for a specific purpose.
So why can't we have both? I would love to see real - i.e. geographic - regions set up where nations could settle. These regions would be predetermined and nations could not create them. Then we could also have groups, alliances, confederations - whatever you want to call them. These could be created by nations.
