Hey Guys,

I can't access nationstates! I keep getting this message from firefox: "The connection was refused when trying to contact www.nationstates.net."

Any ideas?

I get that from time to time.

Sometimes other internet programs work (AIM et cetera), sometimes they don't. Try waiting.

I'm also having problems getting onto NS. Everytime I type it's name in the address box or click the home button, I just get a blank screen and nothing in the address bar.

Oddly enough, every other site works.

There is no need to post that you also have this problem. The site is down. EVERYONE is having the problem.

The site will come back up when one of the admins comes online and kicks the hamsters. Can't tell you when that will be, as I'm not omniscient ... completely. Not yet, at least.

In the meantime, enjoy the forums, or maybe even go outside and enjoy the weather. You still have that, I assume? Good.

Weather? We outsourced that to India a few months back...

Wha?! No wonder the main site is down! A community the size of NS cannot be run without proper, fully omniscient mods and admins; they would have forseen this problem and fixed it months ago.

I am shocked and amazed that things have gone this smoothly with only second-rate semi-omniscients running things. You've done a fantastic job, but you should really finish your perceptual ascendion or find people fully qualified to replace you - then things like this wouldn't happen.

Why do either? If you're omniscient you wouldn't feel like watching over all us little people and why bother winning the lottery? If you're truly omniscient you don't need money.
