I posted before about this. But this seems to be the right place to put it and I still dont know what to do. My profile technically works...except that the last (and only) post it shows is a single thread from months back. I've done a lot since then and it hasn't seemed to record this. Does the List Subscriptions only work for threads you started? Or is my bloody computer being insolent again?

(for threads to which you subscribed, whatever, damned grammar!:p)

By subscribed, you mean replying to a thread, I take it. (Still shaky on some NS terms) But I've replied to a lot of threads since, like I said. Surely it doesn't only record threads you start? If anybody who knows what they're doing (unlike me) can, please look at my profile and check the subscriptions, see if it works for you.

By subscribed, we mean subscribed to a thread. Look under Thread Tools at the top of each thread. Click it, and you'll see "Subscribe to this thread". The link takes you to a subscription management screen. You can set the subscription 'bot to auto-subscribe to every thread, to notify you via email, etc. It's under your http://assets.jolt.co.uk/forums/nation_states/top_profile.gif.

Auto-subscribe to every thread? Wouldn't that put EVERY thread from then on into your profile? That could be a little hard to handle. But I'll look for this Threat Tools button or whatever. Is it possible that the reason there is only one thread in my profile is because the subscription management thing is only accepting certain threads?

All this is under http://assets.jolt.co.uk/forums/nation_states/top_profile.gif Edit options
--------Default Thread Subscription Mode--------
When you post a new thread, or reply to a topic, you can choose to automatically add that thread to your list of subscribed threads, with the option to receive email notification of new replies to that thread.
Default Thread Subscription Mode: Do not subscribe
In this mode, nothing will be added to your subscriptions unless you manually add it via Thread Tools.
Default Thread Subscription Mode: No email notification
In this mode, every replied thread is added. Threads which are simply viewed are not added. Yes, it gets ugly very quickly, which is why the default is "off"
The email options I think you can figure out on your own.

I've got Psov to look at this. He says there should be a link called thread tools under a subscriptions thing in my profile, but its not there. Is this a Jolt problem, and if so, who should I contact? HELP!

It's in EVERY THREAD. Look at the top bar - it looks like this when you click on it:

The link takes me to a page with a profile tab on it that doesnt do anything. Sorry if I seem extremely stupid which I am. The Thread Tools thing on the thread, if I clicked the subscribe to this thread option, would it be placed in my profile?

Click the "profile" tab up at the top of (for instance) this page. Then under "Settings & Options" click "Edit Options". Under "Messaging & Notification", in the subsection "Default Thread Susbscription Mode" choose "No email notification".
You will now be subscribed to all threads you reply to, or start.
