Search passed UN resolutions? [merged]

There is currently a search function for proposed resolutions, but not one for previous ones (i.e. 'UN resolutions through history'). How about a search function for this section to check if anything like the one you have in mind has been passed before or repealed before? This'd make it easier to come up with new resolutions rather than having to wade through 20 or so pages of them to check.

I second this proposal.

How about losers and winners and illegals all?

(note: not an official resource, just a useful one.)

How about in a cross-linked thread? (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=357572)

However those must be kept updated manually. A word search wouldn't have that problem.

Those two already exist, and have features that we can't give the game. Plus, no new code is required.

Admins have stated multiple times that they have no plans to do any major updates to the site. Revamping the search functions would count as major. Sorry, no.

I think it would be a good idea to be able to search through the all ready passed UN Resolutions using keywords or topics. It would eliminate the need to read through the over 100 passed resolutions before posting a proposal to see if your topic has already been covered.

Folks, please use somewhat descriptive topic titles. "Search" and "Idea" barely give a hint at what you're asking about. "The Playground V2", your answer is above.

This rant brought to you courtesy of my having to dredge through a bunch of non-descriptive thread titles to find the recently-answered solution to this oft-asked question. Also sponsored by IdiOats, "the Breakfast of Madmen".
