Do you want a puppet?

The Noble Men

The puppet has a population of 20 million, is an Inoffensieve Centrist Democracy, with 4 issues awaiting response and two already answered.

I need rid of it!

I had a puppet for a while, but now whenever I start up my browser, it appears, automatically logged in. Even though it says in the settings tab "No" under "Log in Automaticaly". To rub salt in the wounds, my real nation, The Noble Men, is set to "Yes" under "Log in Automaticaly".

Because it auto logs-in, I can't hope it will be deleted, so I'm giving it to anyone who wants it. Just say "I want it", and this puppet is yours.

I'll telegram you the password to access it.

It's called "Necromancers and Mages".

I'll take it.

And that auto log in crap happened to me, so I came up with a novel way to get rid of it.

20 million? How pitiful! :D my smallest puppet is 1-2 days away from cracking 3 billion.

First, giving away puppets goes in "Gameplay".

Second, giving away or accepting puppets is not recommended because if the puppet belonged to a rulebreaker, then sharing nations connects you with the rulebreaker; we Mods assume that you are the same person as the rulebreaker. Thus, nation-sharing is not recommended.

Third, if the problem deals with auto-login, then you should ask in "Technical"; you don't have to give away nations to fix auto-login problems.

As I recommend looking at the auto-login problem, first, iMove http://assets.jolt.co.uk/forums/images/icons/icon2.gif "Technical".

I got it deleted by the mods; the hard way.

It got my main nation deleted, too. So don't do it.

And thanks.

Ive had the autologin-with-wrong-nation problem before, i fixed it by going to puppet nation, switching to Yes for login, apply, switch to No, apply, then go to the main nation, switch to No and apply, then Yes and apply.

By redoing it like that it works, at least for me.

For me, turning off auto-login only works if I (after adjusting nation settings appropriately) remove all nationstates.net cookies from my browser. Worth a try, IMHO.

I always use a link like: http://www.nationstates.net/cgi-bin/index.cgi/-1/logout=1

And then log in with whatever puppet I'd like to

Works like a charm :)

That will work Blaatschapen. Turn off autologin and clear your cookies. You should do that regularly anyway for sake of security...

When you said "novel" way, I didn't realize you meant that literally. :p
