A quick question: How long does it take for an abandoned region to dissapear, from the actual moment that it is abandoned? I thought of abandoning a region whose founder does no longer exist, and create it again, to be able to acces the regional control panel. Thanks in advance.

When I abandoned my region, I think it hung around empty until the next update, then vanished. Give it twelve hours or so, and it should be gone.

Regions that are empty cease to exist at the next major or minor update (so two updates per day, it can cease to exist in either)
