Hi there fellow NS'ers and (hopefully) the geniuses behind the game. I was wondering, after getting several issues such as Military Budgets or Centralization vs Regional governments if we could be give the option when we create countries to define whether they are maritime nations or not (those who want to recreate nations like Switzerland and Austria for example), whether they are an archipelago, a peninsula, isthmus or a predominantly land-locked area - communications and governance would naturally be harder in archipelagos and call for more decentralization than in a land-locked area where areas could be reached by roads.

Just a thought,

You can't control what issues you get, I think. You just have to dismiss those you think don't fit. You can roleplay your nation as you wish on the forum, though...

For the sake of issues which involve ships, or immigrants coming on the coast using dinghies and the like, we assume that all nations have a shoreline.

This could be a good request for NS2, if there were to be a automatic map generator build into the game. If you want too, post the idea there.

well not really even a map generator but I think I would reply to certain questions differently if I knew how much coastline or farmland I had or whether I had unbroken access to my territory or needed to cross bridges or waterways, that's all.

Cheers guys!
