Not sure if it's possible, but since Fris made a thread with most rules listed, wouldn't it be handy for new players to have a link to that thread in that welcome message?

Linking the Rules Sticky is a little different, as a good number of people log in and head right for General. They might miss a rules thread. If you miss the FAQ, you probably aren't likely to read it anyway.

I didn't say anything about putting a link to the FAQ in the welcome telegram. What I meant: maybe you could put a link to Fris' thread in the FAQ too.

A link from the FAQ was promised shortly after I posted the topic. It's on the short list, I believe.

I've always thought that we should have a link to the GHP right from the main NS sidebar.

I think someone proposed that before, but there was something about newbies not entirely getting the game and starting to ask "help" through the GHP

so.....any word on any of this yet?
