Login problem

Hiya

Whenever I go to Nationstates, I see a mate's nation instead of mine. A few days ago, he used my PC to login, and ever since, his nation comes up instead of mine.

I've tried changing the settings, deleting cookies, history files etc, but nothing seems to work.

How can I get my nation to load as the default again?

I think you need to clear the cache as well as the cookies. If his nation comes up, change his settings so that it does not automatically log in. The once you have done that, login with your nation and change the settings to auto log in. Also, don't let him access his nation on your computer, especially if you are both in the UN.

This auto-login problem generally has nothing to do with the cache, it's the cookie for auto-login that NS saves to your broswer that occurs when you first create your nation that's the problem.

I said this about it in another thread (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=8931375&postcount=3) on the same problem:

When you create a nation, it automatically is sit to login on your own. You need to go to your Settings, change the option for auto-login, save your settings and then clear the specific NS-related cookie that deals with auto-login. Depending your browser, you can often find the cookies in the broswer's settings. Look for any cookie that has www.nationstates.net in it, and one should be labeled auto-login for that specific nation. Delete it, restart your browser and you're all set.

Normally pertinent, but:

Normally pertinent

I understand where you were coming from and I read the poster's question before responding. However, it's more than well-known that the auto-login problem is almost always related to the cookies. If that doesn't work, then, it's a browser problem, not a NS problem.
