delay in rec'g email for UN acceptance

I created my Nation, was accepted by the UN, but have not yet rec'd my email confirming acceptance. My UN Member icon does not appear on my Nation's Home page. It has been greater than 24 hours.
What happens next?
You created your nation and were accepted by the UN? Do you mean you applied? If you applied then you wait for the email then click the link in the email to confirm your membership. The email may have been blocked by any spam filters you have. Other than that i dont know.

Check your spam folders, and check your nation to see ifthe e-mail you provided is the correct one. Also,highlighting nationstates.net on yoru e-mail system may help

Also, the major update was late today. And afaik the mail will be sent at the end of the major update :)
Do we know why the main update was like 7 or 8 hours late, i think it was that late, why so late??
