Plural Currency and Animal Names

I think it might be nice to enter the plural of your animal and currency in the options section. I know it sounds like a bit pointless but currently my currency is the "wet celery" and I'm one of those people who gets annoyed by the fact that the plural is automatically "wet celerys" instead of "wet celeries". A better example is a friend who has his national animal as the "gingerbread man" which is given its automatic plural 's' giving it the ugly collective name of "gingerbread mans."

Is this a view shared by anyone and is it practical?

Apologies for being a grammar nerd :D

You're right. The plural of my currency isn't "solariss", but is "solari" (if I recall correctly). But the fact is that it really isn't worth the large amount of work that it would require to implement this change, so it isn't going to happen.

maybe you're right. i'll leave it open for a while though to see if anyone else has this kind of trouble.

It's totally impractical, actually. We'd have to add an entire option field for the singular and plural, and I'd guess it would benefit at most 1% of our population. Of that 1%, I'd bet no more than 5% would even care one way or another.

I'd wager you'll see fields for national leaders and national capitals before you see this implemented ... and those two are pretty much on the 'never' list. Don't hold your breath.

Well, I'd love to have the correct plural (one Reyas, two or more Reyi, one Akwelu, two Akwelus, three or more Akwelî), but I'm not surprised there's no plans to have it in the system. Would be a bear to add, I'm sure.

Nice idea, though. :)

I suppose it would probably be too much effort to create some code to determine the correct plural by looking at the last letters... ...Even then i guess there would be some cases which wouldn't work
