Issue Repeat

Is it possible to determine which issue you get, because I made a mistaken choice on the Corporations Demand Political Say issue, and would like to correct it (I wanted to allow them to donate to parties, I mistakenly chose the opposite)?

Well if the issue has not updated yet (click on your Issues link and it would still be listed there if not) then you can simply return to that issue and select which option you'd rather have. However, if it has already updated that one and given you a new issue after it, then sorry you're out of luck for now. No, we as players can't choose which issues we get when (though many would love to). If that issue does get repeated then you'll get another chance at it. Newer nations -first 2 weeks- are restricted to the first 30 or so issues. So if you fit into that category still, then your chances of repeating the issue are higher than the rest of us who have moved into the bank of all issues (original plus player-made). I hope this is helpful in answering your question.

I had a repeated issue a couple of days ago. I selected a different option the second time around, but for some reason my nation write-up still lists my situation as matching the option I chose the first time around and not the situation I chose the second time around.
Is it not possible to change your policies if an issue is repeated?

You did read the bit in my post where I said that it still stated the original position and not the updated position right?

What I want to know is if you do get offered the same issue again and choose a different position to the first time you were offered an issue, should your nation write up update to match the new position that you chose or are you forever bound to the position you took the first time you were offered that issue?

Once I got the "Should Democracy Be Compulsory" issue twice in a row, and my nation description for a recently restored puppet, Vrikstok, ended up reading: Elections have been outlawed and voting is compulsory. Crime is low, despite the fact that it is difficult to make it through a day without breaking one of the nation's many laws. Vrikstok's national animal is the bunny of doom, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the stokvar.

I've always looked for that issue combination again.

My problem is with that very issue. The first time the issue came up I said that voting was voluntary, and the the second time the issue cam up I said voting was compulsory, but it still lists voluntary voting in my write up with no mention of compulsory voting.

Move out of your region and back in again, and it'll be fine.
