Limit Population

Hey, I don't post in the forum much... I mostly just play the game. But I've been wondering for a while now if it would be possible somehow to limit the population of my nation or a new one. Say... 1,000,000 even.
Maybe small countries can seem more democratic, and I can calculate my GDP and stuff easier without taking into account a population that is out of control.

I highly doubt that the moderators would do that because it involves messing around with the coding, which I've heard can be very messy (for changing the population in any way).

But maybe most people probably ask for something more complicated than just a static figure?

True, but still, keeping your population from increasing will involve changing the coding somehow, since normally, everyone's population increases at a random rate (the number depending on how big your population is).

It would still require coding to make some nations' growth stop and some stay constant. Plus a little checkbox or something for people to activate it.... Maybe you can suggest it for NS2.

Your population will increase by 5-8 million after your first few weeks. If you're going to calculate a GDP, can't you just make it proportional to your population?

Yeah ok. Shouldn't the ones developing NS2 already have put in fundamental things like declining birth rates when you have high standards of living, education, and women's rights? Or would that be too obvious.

It might seem obvious, but it would require a serious amount of coding. But you never know quite what'll turn up in NS2.

It's virtually impossible. Not with the way the admins have developed NS.

And anyway, it's kind of fun to have 4.513 billion people. It commands more respect than a 6 million newbie.
