What is the max word length you can post. I have been trying to put a post on my regional board for the past two hours and each time I get told that some of my words are too long. Help!

If you are using special characters (like Cyrillic), each 'letter' is converted into a 7-digit HTML code. I think the word-length is either 45 or 50, but that works out to 6 or 7 special characters.

Also, a long URL without spaces counts as a 'word'. Check out http://************/ for an alternative.

The fighti ng was fierce in the city of Diwares, the capital of king Bromius. The forces of king Sodia riun were on the offen sive and were slowly pushing their way in wards towards the palace, the seat of Bromius’ power. This was taking place in the heart land of Cariduan, a small nation, which had been ravaged by civil war for several decades.

The civil war had started almost a hundred years before when the king had died. After his death the many tribes of Cariduan, some thousa nds of years old, began to argue over who should be the new king. Each tribe had nomin ated their own cand idate and Bromius claimed that he was the king, for his tribe was the largest, and took the capital with his tribe’s army. The other tribes revolted against this and each tribe waged war to get their king on their throne. After several years many of the tribes realized that figh ting Bromius and each other would accom plish nothing, while other though that join ing Bromius would mean that they would survive. The tribes that united against Bromius decided to follow Sodi ariun.

Now nearly 50 years later Bromius’ and Sodia riun’s sons have been taken their father’s mantles and are still waging war. They had both destr oyed the tribes that had failed to join an all iance and now Sodiari un was winning. Bromius knew this. Looking out the window of his palace he saw this. He could see Sodi riun troops were slaught ering his, through their ancient weapons or their superior guns. The guns were only superior in Cariduan however. They were mostly 50 + years old. He looked up and saw a single plane flying over the city drop ping bombs. It was the only aircraft in this conflict and it was owned by the oppos ition. He tried making AA guns but more often then not they blew up, costing Bromius vital supplies. Then again, Sodia riun have tried making bombs, costing him vital supplies as well. The bombs were duds half the time. Not that it matt ered. Even bombing run the plane made killed some of his ever dwin dling numbers of tanks. Each side started off with several tanks but through out the civil war they had been dest royed at a steady rate. All that was left was 10 for Sod iariun and Bromius had 7, no wait, 6, the plane just took out another one. Bromius realized there was one hope left for his men. He had to flee to the fortress.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The fortress was just that, a fortress built out of stone, 200 KM south of Diwares. It was easy to hold, almost impos sible to take. It was built on top of a hill at the start, but Bromius had carved down the slopes, so all that was left, save for a bridge, was a shear cliff face, which would prevent enemy forces from reaching the plateau the fortress was on. Even if the atta cking forces reached the plateau, there was a ditch and high ramparts, and in the centre of the fortress was the keep. Only once had the fortress been taken, and that was because the attacking forces had managed to make it up the bridge before it was destro yed. It was the perfect place for a last stand attempt.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Bromius entered the Fortress’ gates and looked around. All 200 of the men stationed there saluted him. It was a small force there mainly because all other men had been comm itted to the defenses of Diwares. The failed defense of Diwares. Most of his men had died already and all that was left of his grand army was these 200 men and the survivors of Diwares. The general retreat order hadn’t made it’s way to all of the troops and so there was at least 500 men still left in Diwares. The other survivors had arrived however, all 300 of them. All four of his remaining tanks were there too along with several pieces of field artillery. Bromius looked around and saw, that with these 500 men, he could last several months, if not years. The only thing that worried him was the world outside Cariduan’s borders. They had so far ignored the small insignif icant country but if Sod iariun could send out a cry for help before him, he was doomed. There was few things he could do but pray.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sodiari un walked into the main chamber of the Diwares Palace. He walked forward slowly, his feet crushing to cocas ional piece of rubble beneath his feet. He looked around, seeing the many pain tings, statues, and other signs of glory. Ahead of him, at the end of the chamber, lay the King’s throne. The seat of power. If he were to sit in it, it would be proof enough for him that he was king of Cariduan. If he could sit there, he would have proved to all that he was stronger than that weakling Bromius. He would be immort alized as the uniter of the country. He would have all the power. Nothing Bromius could do, would be able to take him down. Nothing …unless he got help. There was no power in Cariduan strong enough to challenge him but outside of Cariduan there were many things that could easily destroy him. He knew that Bromius had fortified himself in the Fortress south of Diwares. If he could crush Bromius before he could get aid, he victory would be ensured. Better yet, if he got help and equipment to crush Bromius, Bromius wouldn’t stand a chance and Cariduan would re-emerge on the world stage, and would have some allies to boot. It was too perfect.
Wait a minute, I think i figure it out
