Impact of UN on nations

I am already aware that UN resolutions have effects on all UN members and understand that these are changed once resolutions have been passed.

I wanted to know if these effects were permanent or if they could be removed by leaving the UN.

Similarly, by joining the UN, does a nation acquire all the "effects" that membership might bring?

From a Game Standpoint: Your nation is only affected by Resolutions passed while you're in the UN. Affects are not removed by quitting, nor are previous Resolutions applied.

From a Role-Playing Standpoint: You nation is affected by all Resolutions, past and present. When you leave the UN, your government may repeal them as they see fit, repeal all of them at once, or leave them in place.

If this is the case, it begs the question how I can determine the effect of UN created legislation and how this would be repealed if I were to quit the UN.

Here, I am only looking at gameplay mode.

Thanks.

My understanding, and I can be wrong here, is that if you were to turn off daily issues and only allow your game stats to be changed by the UN resolutions, you could "see" the impact of the UN created legislation.

When you leave the UN, those prior impacts still stick around, so if you do not have daily issues turned on, then your government stats will not change.
