Well I'll tell the blatantly obvious "closed RP" means closed role play and therefore only certain people are allowed to post. Sometimes of regions or earthes etc.

"Tag" is a general notation indicating that you've taken an interest in a thread, but are not contributing anything to it right now. This is obsolete as players can use the Jolt forums "Subscribe to thread" function.

"Closed RP" means closed roleplay. This is a prearranged roleplay to which only specific players have been invited. NationStates Moderators will honor requests to remove posts from a closed RP by someone who wasn't invited.

"MT only" - This is not a standard notation, so far as I know. "MT" could be an abbreviation for a region or a roleplay alliance, or an abbreviation for a specific nation. I've just been told that "MT" in Modern Technology. In other words, you can only use technology in the roleplay that approximates real-life technology. You cannot, for example, roleplay Captain Jean-Luc Picard or Luke Skywalker.

This topic doesn't quite fit in, anywhere, but seems to best belong in "Technical". "General" is usually for discussions not involving NationStates. Hence, iMove http://assets.jolt.co.uk/forums/images/icons/icon2.gif "Technical".

MT is Modern Tech, FT is Future Tech. There are some good guidelines to the language and activities of NS on NSwiki's Gameplay page (http://ns.goobergunch.net/wiki/index.php/Gameplay).

Also...

OOC = Out of Character
IC = In Character
NS = NationStates
TG = Telegram

Also, some region names...

TNP = The North Pacific
TEP = " East "
TWP = " West "
TSP = " South "
RR (or TRR) = The Rejected Realms

just a few basic things I can contribute.
