Good morning sirs.

I have a simple suggestion to improve the game: For the ease of use of puppet nations that serve as ambassadors, roaming diplomats, recruiters, etc, could we have a few more default nation-types to choose from?

I.e.,

Ambassador
Office
Embassy
Recruiting Office

Surely it would require a minimum of work from the admin?
I know that long-standing nations can create their own title, but puppet nations are needed at instant readiness sometimes.

Why don't you just wait for your recruitng.ambassador nation to gain 500million people and then use it?

Personally, I've never seen why we need to wait until we have 500 million people before we can write our own pretitles. I think it should be allowed for all nations, or at least there should be pretitles such as "Free Republic", "Land", "State", and so on.

I guess, its like, an incentive to continue playing.

It was established that way to prevent abuse. There's enough problems with inappropriate national animals, currencies, mottoes, names, etc. without inapproriate pretitles (which are almost as visible as nation names) being added to the mix. If you've been playing for three months, you probably didn't create the nation just to flame.

But after 500 million, there's little incentive to keep playing (except to break records). How about more such milestones?

1 billion: Custom flags
2 billion: Longer pretitle area, animation in flags
3 billion: Custom NationStates pages (add a history, statistics, etc.)
5 billion: Ability to edit default NationStates page (change political freedoms, add past issue decisions, change the tax rate) if possible

Just a thought for the admin.

Eck. Nix the '1 billion = custom flags' option - I've been playing for 2 days, have already made 3 flags to a common theme, and spent hours wandering the fora thinking 'what now then?' Take away too much at the beginning, and people won't want to be around long enough to get to the billions!

Increasing the choice of pretitles won't enable people to make inappropiate names, but will make puppets easier to identify.

Thanks for the reply. Surely, this issue is different, as it is just a simple request to add a dozen new names to a list? I appreciate that NS is a free service, and any amendment is completely at the discretion of the creator.
