I have another nation to which I can't remember the password. I've requested a new password several times but so far haven't gotten a reply. I know I gave the email address when I created the nation and I did get a welcome email. I really don't want my nation to cease to exist! Help please!

Are you sure that the e-mails from NationStates aren't getting blocked by your spam filter? Before you e-mail admin, you should check your spam box, make sure "admin@nationstates.net" doesn't get blocked, and try it once more. A lot of emails tend to think NS is spam. (Mine used to before I added it to a safe list).

Not true. Homieville, stop giving advice unless you know the answer, and you clearly don't know the answer.
Majesto has stated the most likely problem. In almost 100% of cases, the email hangup is a problem on the user end, not NS. Since the game was down for a while yesterday, I'd try it once more and wait 24 hours before posting again.
The other possibility is that you either failed to include an email address or included one that you've since abandoned. Without that information, even the Admins can't help you. Passwords are YOUR responsibility, and if you don't remember yours and don't have an email, we're not going to give it to you. We have no way to verify that it was yours to begin with.
