In case the problem comes back sometime, here's what I'm currently doing to read threads:
Find the thread's number by looking in your web browser's status bar while hovering the cursor over a link to the thread. Remember that number at the very end for a while.
Paste this address into your address bar, but don't go to it. http://forums2.jolt.co.uk/newreply.php?do=newreply&t=
To the end of the address add the number for the thread you want to go to, and then press enter/hit Go/whatever you do when you're done entering an address.
