Whenever I try to post pics, like this PIC, it doesn't work. It shows the link and then . How do I make it where it shows the pic? (And yes, I edited my options so I can view them.)

It has to be a recognized picture extension, I believe. If you are using TinyURL links or trying to show .PDFs as pics, they will fail.

What's the URL of the pics in question?

They're all in Geocities. Each pic is .JPG

I don't beleive Geocities permits cross-linking pictures. I know they don't on free sites. While you may see them, most of us won't, because they're in your cache and not ours.

What they're probably doing is cross-linking to some explanation page that doesn't have the correct extension, therefore nothing happens. How about some examples?

1. Geocities, at least last time I used it, doesn't allow hotlinking of pictures.
2. Sometimes the ftp or uploading services screws with the extension, so try both .jpg, and .JPG.

Now it shows small white boxes with a red 'X' in the center where the pictures should be. And the funny thing is, someone else was able to post some of my .JPG pictures from Geocities and the pictures showed just fine.

RB, I've done tech support on various levels for quite a number of years now, and I've got to tell you that this is exactly the sort of response we hate to deal with. Twice now, I've asked you for the urls or something specific to work with, and twice you've given me descriptions of things I already knew would happen.

Just post the damn links, and maybe somebody can help you. Or keep posting descriptions and remain uninformed. Your choice.

That means Geocities won't hotlink the pics for you.... use www.imageshack.com.
