Both my brother and I started accounts on the same computer around the same time. We both joined the UN but then when I got my confirmation email it said that you may only have one nation in the UN at a time or the game will detect it. I don't want either my brothers or my nation to get deleted, but we are both on the same computer and so forth.... Whats should I do?

One of you can't join the UN. It's just that simple.
If you want to take turns as UN members, you could swap occasionally. It's advisable to have both of you out of the UN for at least 24 hours between swaps, just so we don't spot you as a multi.

we have three computers in the house behind the router...
All computers behind a home router are likely to look the same from the outside. The IP address assigned to your cable or dsl modem is usually the one that shows up as an external address. Otherwise half the computers in the world would be 192.168.0.xxx or 192.168.1.xxx (the default DHCP range on the majority of home routers). There are probably multiple millions of computers using those same 510 available addesses, which is why the packets are sent to the external address and the router ... "routes" them. It's what routers do.
No, it's not safe. Given your activity in the invasion game, not safe at all.

I gave you the networking answer, not the official Game Mod answer ... but it matches everything GMs and Admins have ever posted in intent. If you use multiple UN nations that appear to be from the same IP address, you're much more likely to be investigated than not. More than that I cannot say.
My advice, and the advice of all who came before, is "don't". OK?

Perhaps I should clarify.
If you operate from the same network as another UN nation, especially if you are behind a router and especially if you share an IP address, the chances of a false postive on the cheat scan skyrocket. However, we can (usually) tell the difference. If you use the same computer, it's pretty much guarenteed that you'll generate a false positive.
So, to be safe, one person per IP address, but one person per computer will usually be fine.
Edit:
P.S. We don't just track your IP address. When routers and proxies forward on information they often include information on the interior IP addresses as well.
I stand corrected. Good thing I never claimed to be a Game Mod, eh?

Log out of your Jolt account. Log into his.

A friend logged into his account on my computer. When he was finished with his session, he logged out. Now when I go in to Nation States, his country appears, as if he had not logged out. If other people use my computer to log into their nation, will there be a problem. When we meet at my place, we all take turns logging into our nations.

This is most likely caused by your browser downloading the password and the username through cookies. I think that the game moderators only take a look at the original IP, as in, what computer was used to make the nation, or at least, the most used IP. Well, actually, I'm not completely sure. But all you have to do is log out, and log back in with your nation name. If you want to make sure that the password doesn't get cookied again, delete all your cookies, and the next time somebody logs into their nation don't click on "save password" when it gives you the choice.

Ok, after reading this thread, and the links, I'm really confused now:confused:.
My husband and I both play NS. We each have our own comp. He don't use mine, and I don't use his, but they are both running off one internet connection through a router.
So far we have taken it in turns to have a nation in the UN, because we thought it would lead to us getting into trouble if we both had UN nations, even though the nations would be logged into on separate comps.
We both want UN nations (he's starting to make noises at me to take Waterana out:D), and I want to know please if both of us having a nation each in the UN would be safe as long as we only log into it from our own comp, or should'nt we risk it?
