In the Settings there should be a possibility to make the people of your state "indigenious"( i haven't checked the spelling). For instance you may choose to make them Nomadic, like the people of my state, but in the real world there are few groups of nomads that make out a whole group of people, normally they are a part of a indigenious group e.g the sami people in Norway, Finland, Sweden and Russia. Or the nomads in the Sahara and the other deserts of Northern Africa.. This is not to be mistaken for a argument for removing Nomadic as a option, it's simply a argument for adding Indigenious as a option...morten, founder of the Indigenious people of Iximche.

it's a decent idea, but the mods have turned down requests for additional fields several times before. People abuse what they already have (currency, animal, etc.), and this would most likely simply create more problems.

wait till your population hits 500 million, you can change it into whatever you want (within the rules of course..)
