UN verification problems with care2 email addresses

If this has been discussed before, my apologies; I didn't spot it.

I've been trying to sign up to the UN in the past two days, but to no avail. I get the "accepted, verification will follow" telegram, but no email. I reapplied according to the instructions, still no email. I made a new email, though to the same service provider, care2.com.

My first email was @wildmail.com. That didn't work for the UN, but the NS welcome messages and forum verifications did. I thought that it was grasped by spam filters, so I made another one for "allowed addresses only".
My second one was @animail.net. I promptly listed @nationstates.net in the allowed emails, and waited, but to no avail.

A friend of mine (Entoma) recently applied for the UN and got a prompt reply to his Freemail account. We are occasionaly using the same computer (this one), could that affect it?

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you for your patience.

Well, firstly, the fact that your friend is in the UN now and uses the same computer as you doesn't affect if you get the verification e-mail; however, I strongly suggest that you don't continue on with your verification in the UN, seeing as your friend is on your computer, and you will be spotted as a UN multi. There is no way that the moderators can verify that there are indeed two separate people behind your computer screen.

Perhaps you and your friend could compromise the position in the UN, and allow one of you to be a member for a specific amount of time, then resign, and allow the other to join.

We have discussed this on the phone and decided that he'll use his nation at the school we both go to in daytime and I will use mine here, in the afternoons and evenings.

And I will hold off reapplying or verifying the email, should it come through, for quite some time. I just read the "Ejected" sticky threads and got scared, so clearly we have to, ehhh, take some time apart. :)

Thank you for your helpfulness.
