First, this should be in technical if I'm correct.

(Not a moderator. I could be wrong anytime, anywhere on any day)

I don't quite understand what you mean.
I do jnot belive you can set a personal font. You can change your font every time you post something.

Whoops, wrong Mozilla bar when I posted this, it should be in technical.

I know I can use the tags, but I was hoping for something a little more permanent.

I've never seen an option for this. The only folks I've seen using odd fonts appear to use cut-n-paste to add their 'standard' settings. There is a Jolt FAQ and some Jolt Q&A forums around here somewhere - check those out.

One question - why would you want to move from the default? It's by far the most readable. It's been my experience that alt-fonts tend to add more irritation than they're worth. Some particularly irritating faces and colors I'll just skip over rather than read anything that poster might have to say.

eh, I'll check the FAQs. I wanted another font, its just as readable but. . .different.

I think that serif fonts are generally more readable. Many people say that sans-serif is more readable on the internet. I think that it looks nicer, but is less readable, at least to me.
