Economy Status/Problems

Within the past 24 hours, my economy has gone from "fragile" to "struggling" to "imploded." This seems a bit extreme, especially considering the fact that my tax rate didn't change during the same period. What's the most likely explanation for this? Thanks in advance for any help.

Issues. The options you select change the statistics of your nation.

well jesus, i know that. but how does my economy go from fragile, up two to struggling, then all the way down four levels to imploded IN ONE DAY? that doesn't seem right.

Every issue is very fragile.

The younger your nation is, the more vulnerable it is to massive changes. As your nation ages, it becomes harder to change your stats.

I am only 320 million and already it is proving difficult.

My guess is that issues work by giving or taking away "points" from categories, and then the classifications / UN categories / stats are based on the ratios of all of these hidden categories.

So if I've answered the same issue 8 times, I'd have 8 points ... if I change direction on the next time it comes up, I might only step down to 7 points.

This is just a *guess*. I would love to peak behind the curtain and see how it is really done, as someday I want to have a daily issue make it through.

As said before, your issues can cyhange almost your entire nation. If you leave 5 issues standing and answer them at once, your economy may change drstically over a period of four hours if you select options that don't enforcse your economy.
