Just wondered if anyone else was experiencing this problem?

Logging out from your nation or the forum?

Logging out from your nation or the forum?

From the forum. No matter what I do - I am still logged on/in. I even logged out from my nation (and from the forum), closed my browser... and when I went back - I am still logged in.

Clear your history and cookies. Then try.

Go here (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/index.php?s=), there should be a manual log out link at the bottom of your screen.

No, I didn't, Heiligkeit.
This is really strange since I have been able to log out - and return to the page I was viewing - not logged in.

Thank you but, that's the log out button I have been using since I have joined.
Still won't work.

Oh, welll...
Just another cyberworld/forum mystery, huh?

Just go to the main page of the NS forum and wait, dont do a thing. It will automaticly log you out of the forum.
It just did while i was typing a @|#{§& message.

Thank you for your help, though. I really appreciate it.

Doesn't work - I have tried that, also.
It seems like it's stuck on "logged in" - because no matter what I do, it just will not budge. And like I said - this has never happened before. I just hate it that I "appear" to be here all the time.

May want to ask a Mod.

Thank you, and I was just about to do that but - I deleted cookies several times and it finally worked.

Yay, you did what i said.

Doesn't Jolt automatically delete cookies when you log out?

Doesn't Jolt automatically delete cookies when you log out?
Theoretically. I've had many a session where my 'marked as read' marks wouldn't go away, and other randomness of cookie corruption. I have my browser set to delete certain cookies on shutdown, and that's often the only way to clear it up.

Which is surprising, because otherwise Jolt has perfect performance. Right?

It all depends on what you have to write, If you're trying to prove a point with correct statistics then you waste atleast 20 minutes looking up and typing.

Well, you should be happy, I 'm always logged out while i'm typing, I often use notepad. Sometimes i really want to respond imediatly and thats usually when it happens.
Anyway i'm out of options here.

Doesn't Jolt automatically delete cookies when you log out?
It says it does, but last night I couldn't log out either. I used Opera's cookie manager to delete all related cookies (forums.jolt.co.uk, www.jolt.co.uk, anything related to nationstates.net, and few ad-server related Jolt cookies). Nothing seemed to work. I finally disabled cookies entirely and closed all browser windows, then shut down Opera and reopened. Of course, I was unable to log in to the game until I re-enabled cookies, and then was also able to get to the logon screen to log back in to Frisbeeteria. I haven't tried another logoff / logon with a puppet yet.

I'd say Jolt's cookie system has a couple of screws loose. Wish I could tell you more, but in this instance Mod-hood has no special benefits.

The same thing happens to me and it's especially annoying when I'm trying to post as a particular nation and it takes much too long to clear things up. I cleaned out cookies and wiped out my history completely today because I was trying to log out of one particular puppet and log back into Sarzonia.

Except for the regular occurences of "No thread specified", it's great.
