For the last couple of days I have had a problem with the menu in the game.
Every time I open up a new page such as Issues, United Nations, The World etc. from my "homepage" the menu disappears,
making it very hard to navigate the site.
Is this a bug or is it just my browser acting up (I'm using Internet Explorer)?

That has happened occasionally for me as well. Try closing the browser down and starting again. (I use I.E as well.)

I've had that with Exploder before. I'm not sure which problem you're refering to, however.

1) If you mean the place where the menu should be is a blank bar, try mousing over, right-clicking and selecting "Reload Frame".

2) If the page you've gone to takes up the whole screen, you can just click the back button and do a full refresh (ctrl-F5). That happens when you use Automatic Login and the login cookie has expired (somewhere around 30 minutes of inactivity, I think).
