I'm trying to upload a pic for my flag (9.90 KB), but it says it's too big. What the heck? :confused:

While it says 10 kb, in practice it's only about 9.5kb. It's too big. Try shrinking it ein bissen.

If you use an image editor like Photoshop or GIMP, you can reduce the quality of the image a little to reduce the filesize (assuming you haven't already done that).

also, if you are just using colours and such, instead of what looks like a picture, you might get a lower file size out of a gif image

Or you can use Irfanview (http://www.irfanview.com) which is small and quite effective for simple resizing, or .jpg quality adjustment.
