Problems joining UN

Greetings!

I just invited a friend to join the game and he'd already applied to join UN. However, he's not been able to join it. He gets the verification emails, and when he clicks on the link, he gets the following message:

Your email verification failed. Please check to ensure that you have copied the entire URL to the locaton bar in your browser.
If you continue to have problems. Please submit a getting help request.

He already asked twice to join but he's still getting the same message.

I would like to know what problem is this and how it could be solved.

Thanks for any help.

Sometimes, ISP's like AOL will disable internet links in e-mails. It looks like that one is sort of working, but try this:

Have your friend copy the link into the browser window, like it says in the error message. If that doesn't work, you're going to have to get Hack or Sal in here so they can fix something.

IMPORTANT: DO NOT let your friend join the UN if he uses the same computer as you. Even if you are two different people, the nations will be detected as UN Multis and banned from the UN or deleted.

Game Admins (SalusaSecondus) and Game Mods (including TMGHack) read this forum, and will respond when they have a chance. Be patient, please. Real life is occupying much time lately.

Well, there's not actually anything I can do, but I can throw out a couple guesses.

Specifically, how long did your friend wait to follow the link after receiving it? I believe the UN verification e-mail is only good for 24 hours. If he waited too long he'd need to request another e-mail.

To make any further guesses (or for Sal to do his funky magic), we'll need to know what e-mail you're using (just the provider will suffice, ie: Gmail, Hotmail, AOL, Earthlink, etc.).
