I wish to order some weapons, but I don't really know how to actually use the currency. Am I missing something? Thank you.

NSEconomy (Commerce Heights): http://nseconomy.thirdgeek.com/ (website)
Sunset's Calculator (Experimental) (Sunset): http://www.sunsetrpg.com/economystatistics.php (website)

Use any of those links to come up with your GDP, and you'll know how much you can spend in a storefront. The only thing you have to do is make sure you don't order more than you can afford, and when you're ready to purchase it, you basically type, *Money wired upon confirmation* or *"Insert amount of money spend" is being wired to "owner of the storefront" for these goods*

How do I affect the amount of money in the NSEconomy account? ie, If somebody were to charge me $60 million, how would I deduct that from my account?

All of that is roleplayed. Say I could spend $600 billion per year, (in NS, 1 NS year = 1 RL day), and I spend $500 billion at one storefront. I have to keep track of that on the day that I spent it, meaning I only have $100 billion left. Other people won't keep track of it for you, but for your reputation, its good to spend only as much as you can afford to.

Yea, basically. Your GDP for the year is what you can spend in a day.

For someone who spends so much time compiling FAQs and guides into stickies, I would have expected you to know that very few players accept "1 day = 1 year" anymore.

I'm sure as Hell not in the year 2700...

Actually, most of the people that I have interacted with use this as the basic timeframe for their nation, however, they use fluid time, which is what I use as well. They don't use 1 day = 1 year only, that was just used as an example for the amount of money one can use.
