Finding Specific Nation Types
I would REALLY like to see a sort/search feature for the World and for Regions so you don't have to page through ten zillion countries/regions to find what you are looking for.
Wild cards would be nice for a Region search.
Being able to get a list of which nations have "X" UN designation would be really cool for those of us trying to build an Ideological Region.

The mods / admins have said in the past any upgrade to the region search would involve a complete overhall of the game code, so it ain't going to happen.

well how do the search parameters work then?
I was wondering why if I use the pages then I get a list of regions on that page but if I use a search (and find what I'm looking for) I only get that one region!?!
Isn't there anyway to index the names, or maybe share the work, use www.Google.com (or another search engine if you prefer)???
you could also just make a page with a list of all nations and another page for all regions just as text/hyperlinks.
the pages would be huge but at least we could scroll down as fast as we want to see all the nations/regions.
Just a thought, but it would make it easier to search nations/regions.

Works to a reasonable extent (http://www.google.com/search?q=+%22free+market+paradise%22++%225+million%22+site:www.nationstates.net&hl=en&lr=&as_qdr=all&filter=0) it seems. Of course trying to get pops is outdated. I'm amazed that Google still has a cache for John Ashcroft the Hero at 5 million.
