Now, I'm not complaining about the current forums, but what if we added a few more to expand the NationStates playing enviroment. I was thinking of adding a story forum where you can post personal works of fiction about your nation, like it's history, civil wars, whatever. I think it would be rather popular. Also, adding a Hack Report forum might be useful to report attempted logins by an unknown source (or successful hacks) so the moderators can keep a close eye on the potentially hacked nation for suspicious behavior that signals possible hacker activity (name change, region change, inappropriate posts). We should take into consideration the possible developement of new forums, for the good of all.

For a place to post national fiction, we have one already: History Library (http://forums2.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=347501&page=3&pp=15)

As for a 'hack report' forum, there is one already. You've just posted in it.

Personally, I think that NS has enough forums already. Why do you think we need more?

The NS Wiki (http://ns.goobergunch.net/wiki/index.php/Main_Page) is good for keeping track of a nation's history, especially its ancient history. NS and II can be used for IC storytelling as well.

As for hacking reports... "hacking" is a misnomer in this case. Every "hacked" nation has been simply stolen. Long ago, it was because the URL for a logged in nation contained a unique identifier (PIN) that would allow anyone to log into your nation if you copy and pasted the URL without removing the PIN. Since PINs were removed, nations have been stolen by people guessing the password, sitting at a public computer when someone left 'Login Automatically' on, or various other OPSEC failures. The closest thing to a hacking that has happened was when someone exploited a hole in Invision's security to steal the passwords from people who used the same password on Invision and NS (which, again, is really just an OPSEC failure).

If your nation has been stolen, you can either report it on the existing forums, or use the Getting Help Page.

Well okay, I can understand the hack forum, but some people want to write stories that relate to NS but don't fall under the "Nation History" catagory. They might want to write stories about a military squads adventures, or combine NS with some other kind of game for a whole new story. Just a thought.

I've also been brainstorming other forum ideas, like a illustration forum where people can post drawings of their leaders or nations and so on. Or maybe a "War Room" where allies can meet to discuss invasions or internal problems. Not just the regional headquarters, but a place where people who aren't in the same region (but are allied) can privately meet.

Think about the possibilities!

Your "War Room" idea probably wouldn't be so great to discuss invasions, as it is a public forum, and who ever you are plotting against could see your plans. Your best bet here is to use one of the off-site free forum hosts to discuss that sort of thing. If a region wants to talk about their internal politics, they are welcome to have that discussion on the Gameplay forum. Your other ideas can happen and already are happening in the roleplay forums.
