i very much like the idea of this game and it is quite interesting. The person who thought oif this game has done a very good job indeed.

But, still, some times there are not much to do in the game. I think it would be slightly better if there was a little element of competition within the game. Such as trade between nations. And different industries within the game.

Also I think the idea of having different currencies is great. Maybe it could be furthre developed by having and globle currency. And the nations with good economy and industries may have an exchange rate linked to the globle currency.

Oviously there could be things nations can buy, such as defence items, food if the economy is not reducing enough food, raw materials or even spending on repairs of natural disaters.

just an idea, I hope some of you dobt find any of this offensive.
feel free to reply to me. thanx

Anything like trade, diplomacy, and war is not handled by the game engine, and will not be implimented in this version of NationStates. Check out the NationStates 2 forum for future enhancements to the game.

Trade, diplomacy, and war, now, is done by roleplay on the International Incidents and NationStates forums.

There are (non official) NationStates calculators that match a nations currency to the US dollar.

It'd be cool if there'd be more, but as You mentioned the service engine can only do so much. Nationstates is really awesome and I find it far beyond interesting. If it could be done, having other items (war, trade, determining you own population growth rate etc.) would be sweet, but it'd be too much work. Before you know it, many people then may reconsider the Nationstates game.

i agree, but i mean some times there just aint much to do in the game after you have done your issues.

i mean some kind of competition within the game could add to the spice. because all too often, not much is happenning.

i thinking the people running the site are very inteligent people and with time, many of the suggestions can be done.

A lot of what you get out of the game is what you put into it. You can join the UN, become involved in debates there. You can try to become delegate of your region, and try to get proposals through the UN, or try to block them. You can make your own flag. Some players make a map for their nation. Dream up your national history. Create a NSwiki (http://ns.goobergunch.net/wiki) entry.

If you are a UN delegate, you can participate in regional invasions, or defense. Learn how to do this here (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=321528), here (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=288255), and here (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=301703).

Some players like to roleplay. Look at the stickies in the International Incidents forum.

It is a matter of time. There are only two or three people with admin access to the game, and any change has to be run through the game's creator. Everyone on the admin (and mod staff) are doing this on their free time. That is why no big changes happen to the game. They only have time to do bug fixes, and minor game enhancements. More will be added to NationStates 2, but it is a big project.
