Nation frozen in time...

When I created a new nation (I'm an experienced player) I put it in Vacation straight away. Now, the stats don't change at all. (even the population is stuck on 5m)

Is this normal?

(NOTE: Do not fix this. I want Rattus Norvegicus 7 to be young forever!)

Yep. While on vacation mode your population doesn't change and you don't get new issues.

What?

I've never heard that your population doesn't grow while on vacation mode... I know the issues don't take, but your population doesn't grow? Are you serious?

population does grow, it grows always, no matter the issues and/or vacation mode.

edit: yes, and it doesn't grow when the nation has ceased to exist, silly me, :p

We'll need the name of the nation.

and from this I conclude Myrth doesn't read notes. :D

HC Eredivisie is mostly correct. Your population continues to grow at the standard rate in vacation mode or standard mode. Your population growth stops entirely when you cease to exist through inactivity, but resumes where it left off if you have the nation reactivated.

Erastide is partially correct. You don't get new issues.

And in answer of the unasked question, no. How you answer or don't answer issues does not affect population growth.

and from this I conclude Myrth doesn't read notes
I believe this is also correct. :D

All right; thanks for the clarification on my question, guys!

Whoops, the way I read it, it looked like he was referring to another nation.

So population grows on vacation, the only thing that affects it is being deleted then, yes?

One more misconception down the drain. :p

Correct.

I'm not trying to undermine Myrth's authority here, and if he says not to do this, don't... (I'm not a mod)

But you could try moving in and out of your region. That's the usual fix for strange circumstances.

No idea why it would do that, though.

Thanks guys.

My others seem to grow even in Vacation, so it seems as if Rattus Norvegicus 7 is a one-off, it does not even appear in the daily rankings.

Not that I'm complaining. It's cool to have a forever virgin nation for once. ;)

It's probably just a minor bug. Should you want to fix it, moving your nation out of your current region for an update might get it fixed...

Well, never mind...
