Regions with only one UN member have no delegate

A region with only one UN member has no one to vote said member into office as delegate, thus, the region is not represented in the UN at all. I propose this be changed, so if a region has only one nation that is a UN member, that nation becomes the delegate.

EDIT: Gah, I posted this in the wrong forum. Can a mod move this to Technical for me?

I doubt that is changed. Besides, it would be far to easy to invade a region then.

Shouldn't the region founder become the default delegate in such a situation? It seemed strange that when my region got going, had a few UN members, but for a couple of days, had no delegate.

How come this mechanic isn't used? Even if that meant every Tom, Duck and Hoodinii with a region of 1 nation in the UN was default delegate, it'd still mean a region could participate.

But then a nation not a UN member taken into account then would have to be addressed whether such a single nation region can 'use' that delegate vote in the UN in the first place.

Bit of a fine line just drawn here. =^^=;;;

I'd prefer the opposite... it requiring more than one vote to become delegate ;)

As it is it's already very easy to become delegate somewhere. Just walk into some sleepy region without a delegate (or with an idle delegate), say 'hi' and swap a few endorsements... ta-daa!

IMHO, the key about this game is interaction. If you want to have a position you'll need to get others to agree to you having that position. A change in the implementation that reduces the need for interaction (becoming delegate without anyone's endorsement) is IMHO counter to that.

This would discourage UN multies to become delegate, which I almost did since there was no delegate.

Apart from the gravedigging, this should be discussed. iMove to Technical.

I don't agree. If a region wants to participate in the UN, they should have to assemble two or more like-minded nations to help them. I've founded a region and populated it with my own puppets. Should that automatically give me a voice in the UN? I don't think so.

Recruiting one or two new UN members from the feeders shouldn't be that big a chore. Better would be to invite friends to become new players. It's a representative democracy after all - shouldn't that representative have more than just his/her own voice in that representation?

I couldn't agree more.
