Nation page loading time

The time it requires to view the page of a nation is quite high for nations having a lot of endorsements. This may even take two minutes depending on the time of day. I do not recall it taking that long just a few weeks ago. Did something change in the back end DB?

Well, it's not run on a database but yeah, I heard that there were some back-end changes recently.
It might not have affected (sp?) that though.

It might just be that your internet connection can't handle it. Dial up?

The alterations to the code shouldn't have affected it at all, and it's not connection-related as it takes a while for me and I've got a 1mbit line.

Probably you were trying get to the server during a demand spike where the NS activity is at it's peak.

No, when the rest of NS is very responsive the pages of nations with a lot of endorsements are still loading very slowly.

Yeah, I've got a T1 equivalent DSL line and it's still a lot slower than other websites with bigger pages. I'm pretty sure the slowdown is on the NS end, not yours or mine (although it might be if you have a <56k connection or so).

Was a solution for this ever found? Often I can get everything but my nation very quickly, but then time out trying to see Eudelphia. It does this wheter I'm using a DSL or a dialup connection. The United Nations page does this too, although less frequently.

No solutions yet.
