I think the result for the resolution votes at the UN should only be known when the votes are over. This way we would have more fair outcomes. Polls are open
Have a mistake in the pool question. it shold be "Should voting results for the UN resolutions only be known when votes are closed?"

I think it would take away the tension of some of the close votes though.
I would like it more because 'twould add more suspension and mystery. :D

i think that some times people vote because they want to seem a cirten way to others, so removing the ability to see del. votes would be a good thing

No. Some lazy people vote with the majority, and if you remove that, they may not vote at all. I know it would be a good thing to not have those stupid votes floating around, but at least they are taking the time to vote.

I rather like seeing the results. You can see the race, and that is exciting. Besides we can't hope to change this, can we?

Pools are open
Huh? What does that mean?

Pools are open is a typo, he / she literally meant "polls are open", but realistically is just saying that we should have access to third party (i.e. game created) exit poll information <--- it just happens that our exit polls are terribly accurate, unlike the US exit polls were in Nov. 2004. ;)
Seriously, you can change your vote. I have. So while the totals mean something, I think they can help to stimulate debate and drive hope for telegram campaigners. Having public / live results is just as interesting as allowing region crashing.
Also, I think nations have a right to know how their Delegate has voted. This may be a large factor for many players in deciding if they should continue to endorse their Delegate or not.
As one of the co-authors on the current resolution, I am a bit frustrated by how many people have incorrectly assumed that a tsunami warning system would cost in the "billions" and have labeled the resolution as being "tremendously expensive!", where in the real-world such a system costs LESS than the amount of air time for Super-Bowl ads or the cost of President Bush's 2nd Presidential Party ... I mean inagugration (i.e. the system's cost is measured in the millions).
One of the rules placed on UN resolutions is *no* real-world references. I couldn't say that such a system would cost "millions of dollars" because dollars don't exist in NationStates. And yet plenty of players are being very honest and explaining that they are in fact voting on their assumptions of the real world.
My point in explaining this is to point out that there are plenty of ways that NationStates UN rules are unfair ... not all of these ways give an advantage to the UN players. In fact, I'd argue that the system actually encourages a bit of knee-jerking. Naturally the way we need to counter that is to anticipate it and spread information to the Delegates. In this case, we had an aggressive telegramming campaign and I think in the end sum of things the resolution vote will show that.
But I'd ask the Game Admins to not make the votes on resolutions private. I think there are other things, like new resolution categories, that are more pressing tasks.

I'm also a co-sponsor (and the listed sponsor of record) of that resolution as well, and I also say the voting should remain visible. In the real life UN, a nation's vote is shown as they are cast, and nations do have the right to change their minds. In terms of diplomacy, (after all isn't that part of NationStates, too?) one should have the opportunity to persuade other nations about their vote until the voting concludes.

I'm pretty sure that that was since before time even started.
