Shared Computer = FEAR!!!

Hello. My sister and I both joined Nation States very recently on different accounts but we share computers at the present time. For some reason, after a while of being logged onto our accounts but remaining inactive it suddenly shows her nation in the sidebar but my nation on the browser screen. It's really annoying. Like we're both logged in at the same time. The main problem is that I'm now terrified of joining the UN whilst she's in it because I don't know if it shows up as the two of us being the same account or what. It's really annoying.

I would be very careful about this, and advise only one of you join the UN. The Moderators look at IP addresses, and to them it may look like the same person has two UN nations, and this could result in you being booted from the UN. I would be careful.

Sounds like it's just a conflict with the autologin cookies. In the settings page, turn autologin off.
And yes, you may only have one UN nation per computer/internet connection, depending on your configuration.

In practice, you should really not even have UN two nations behind the same IP address, not just computer.

Well that sucks, but I can understand it. It kind of sucks how under-represented siblings are in internet communities, as similar things have happened on other sites. Ah well, thanks for your advice. And yes; I think it was the automatic log-on option.

I think it may be that in some cases once the cookie for autologin has been placed on your computer, even unchecking the autologin box will still result in autologin. I've had this happen to me with Mozilla, but once I deleted the cookie I was fine.

NS automatically sets you to autologin, so you automatically get the cookie for autologin, unless you uncheck the box when you first set up the nation.
