Does anyone know how population increases work?

Population will increase for 1 million a day for a while, and then it will go to 5-8 million a day. Nothing causes population to go down. Issues do not effect population. If your nation dies for a while, and then you have it reactivated, the populations will not have grown over the inactive period.

I'm not sure about this, but dismissing or ignoring issues causes population to grow less rapidly.

Below is the post from Tiborita post, in which Tiborita is 100% correct, emphasis mine.

If your nation dies for a while, and then you have it reactivated, the populations will not have grown over the inactive period.

Ja?

Also, if your not sure, then don't post. (Unless your asking of course...)

I've seen nations who were founded on the same day, but who have different populations a while later. The one with the fewer population is (almost?) always the one who is not as active (ie. doesn't answer issues as much).

All emphasis mine.

Yeah, that'll happen, still doesn't have anything to do with issues

Co-incedence then.

Issues will never affect population.... at least, not nowadays.

The difference is because population growth is random.

Issues have no affect on population growth.

Issues have never had an affect on population growth.

Nations founded on the same day have different populations because population growth is random. If nation A gets 5 million and nation B gets 7 million, nation B will, quite obviously, have a greater population.

Wasnt the pop bug because of nations getting four issues a day, or something?

i would think that since the population bug was (i believe) the nation updating twice in a day, that if they have their issues as 2 a day, that 4 issues a day would be a result of updating twice a day

Correct. Chicken/egg.

Population and issues were a side effect of the bug.
