UN Multis?

I have a question about what qualifies as a UN multi.

Obviously, if a single person controls two or more UN nations they're a multi, but what if it were a group controlling a UN nation (Nation A) and one member of that group solely controls a UN nation (Nation B)? Would the person who controls Nation B be a UN multi?

I think that if they're using the same computer, both would be UN Multis.

The way I understand it is they all use different computers to access Nation A, but the person in question uses the same one for Nation B as for Nation A.

It doesn't matter who's using it, it's the IP that counts, so the person accessing A & B on the machine is multiing

All that matters is if the person with Nation B ever accesses Nation A on the same computer. If they do, then a UN multi scan will show them as a UN multi and both A and B can be ejected permanently from the UN.

If the two nations are accessed from different computers (IPs/locations), then I believe that would not show up as multying.

The mods use more than IPs to determine multis. I believe, as long as one person controls two UN nations (simultaeneously) at any point, he is multiing.

The mods do use more than IP addresses, but at the same time, I'm not sure how they're to say that nations operated from 2 completely different locations are operated by the same person. There would have to be some serious evidence in terms of telegrams and communications indicating that 1 person was behind both nations.

If a person managed to keep (for example) their work/school computers completely separate from their home computer, they should be able to run 2 nations at once. Otherwise you could accuse any 2 nations of being the same person. :p

(and I'm not quite sure why I'm discussing rulebreaking techniques  )

However, given the situation that you describe, there is virtually no chance you will all be able to get back in the UN. The moderators cannot verify you are multiple people, so if you all use the same computers, only 1 person can be in the UN. Additionally, any of the nations kicked out cannot rejoin so you'd need to use a different nation.
